Mogadishu (Durbaan Media) – The former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, has strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that took place today at the entrance of the Presidential Palace, targeting the convoy of the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Farmaajo described the attack as a serious threat to the stability of the government and the survival of the Somali people, noting that such actions highlight the true face of terrorist groups who are accustomed to spilling the blood of innocent civilians and destroying their properties.

The former president expressed his condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the attack and prayed for God’s mercy upon them. He also wished a swift recovery to the injured.

Additionally, Farmaajo called on the Somali people to stand united in the fight against terrorist groups and to support the brave forces engaged in combat against these militants.

These events come shortly after the U.S. Embassy issued a warning regarding the potential for terrorist attacks in Mogadishu, signaling ongoing concerns about the security situation in the capital.
